Halmosi targets two wins

Peter Halmosi believes Hull City will avoid relegation if they can pick up two more wins this season. The Tigers made a stunning start to their Premier League campaign but they have since started to struggle and face a fight to avoid the drop. They are currently four points above the bottom three but Halmosi thinks a couple of victories should be enough from their remaining eight games. Liverpool and Manchester United still have to visit the KC Stadium this season but Hull also have home games and Portsmouth and Stoke and Halmosi is in confident mood. He told skysports.com: "We're four points away from the relegation zone, there're eight games left and our position is affected by the other team's results too. If we won two games I think with 39 points - this is proved by the statistics - we may stay in the Premier League. "This is not impossible (to win two games) especially that we'll have two 'easier' games at home. "Liverpool are in superb form but Manchester United have one more game to play and I don't think they will lose too many points." Halmosi played in Hungary's World Cup qualifying victories over Albania and Malta this week and he was delighted with his own performances. Deployed in a holding midfield role, Halmosi helped Hungary boost their chances of making it through to next summer's tournament in South Africa. He said: "This was the fourth time I played as a defensive midfielder in the national team and we conceded no goals in these four games against Malta and Albania so I think this is a great result from our team. "Though this is not my favourite position, (coach) Erwin Koeman has been satisfied with me and I'm very happy to play in the national team - no matter in which part of the pitch."
