Gerrard vows to battle on for City

Hull defender Anthony Gerrard has pledged to play to play through the pain barrier for the Tigers this season.[LNB] The 28-year-old defender, who joined on a season-long loan from Cardiff, has a calf injury that may eventually require surgery.[LNB]However, Gerrard insists he is going to suck it up in order to play for Nigel Pearson's side.[LNB]"People work 12 or 14 hour shifts so if I can bear a little pain or do certain things then that's what I've got to do," he told BBC Radio Humberside.[LNB]"Certain things I do are painful but we get paid a lot of money to kick a bit of leather around."
