Geovanni makes Tigers departure

razilian playmaker Geovanni has left Hull after his contract at the KC Stadium was terminated by mutual consent.[LNB] Geovanni, who scored the Tigers' first ever goal in the Premier League, still had a year remaining on his deal.[LNB]The 30-year-old joined Hull on a free transfer from Manchester City in the summer of 2008 and has made a total of 65 appearances, scoring 13 goals.[LNB]Hull have been forced to release their higher wage earners at the KC Stadium following their relegation from the Premier League.[LNB]Geovanni scored Hull's first goal in the top flight in the opening day 2-1 win over Fulham in August 2008, was on target in the memorable 2-1 win at Arsenal and fired the winner against Tottenham during the same season. He is a reported target for Greek clubs AEK Athens and Panathinaikos.
