Friendly fixture cancelled by Tigers

Huddersfield's pre-season friendly at home to Hull has been cancelled at the request of the Championship club.[LNB] The game was scheduled to take place at the Galpharm Stadium on July 28.[LNB]Town chief executive Nigel Clibbens said via a statement on the club's official website: "Having completed our pre-season schedule over two months ago, we are all very disappointed that the friendly against Hull will not take place.[LNB]"A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes in preparation for this fixture - programmes have been written and hospitality places and tickets have been sold - and we are determined it shouldn't go to waste so we are quickly seeking another opponent to fill the void.[LNB]"All football clubs know what is required in arranging a fixture of this nature and it is rare they are cancelled.[LNB]"I am sure Hull would not have done this unless it was absolutely necessary and unavoidable."
