Foxes swoop for defender Brown

League One champions Leicester have signed centre-half Wayne Brown for an undislosed fee from Premier League outfit Hull.Brown, who initially joined the Foxes on loan in January, has signed a two-year contract and follows fellow defender Jack Hobbs in turning his temporary move into a permanent deal.The 31-year-old said: "I am obviously delighted to have made the move permanent. Leicester City are a big club with an ambitious chairman, a good manager and a massive fan base."It was great to finally get our hands on the League One trophy on Friday evening. There is a really good attitude here and we all want to continue to move forward and progress once again next season."Brown has made eight appearances since moving to the Walkers Stadium with Nigel Pearson's side unbeaten in each of those games.He will be in familiar surroundings in the Championship next season, having been almost ever-present in the Hull side that gained promotion to the Premier League during the 2007/08 campaign.[LNB]
