Duo hoping for Tigers return

Hull defenders Joe Dudgeon and Alex Bruce are hoping to return to contention for Saturday's home game with Ipswich. Both players were recently forced to withdraw from the Northern Ireland squad. The Tigers pair were hoping to make their respective debuts for Northern Ireland in Portugal this week after receiving their first call-ups, but Dudgeon was ruled out with a knee injury, while Bruce has been struggling with a groin strain. Dudgeon has had an injection in his knee and manager Steve Bruce is hoping the pair can ease his injury woes ahead of Ipswich's visit as fellow defenders James Chester (hamstring) and Jack Hobbs (anterior cruciate ligament) are also out of action. Meanwhile, midfielder Corry Evans is closing in on his 20th cap for Northern Ireland after playing the full 90 minutes in their surprise 1-1 draw in Portugal on Tuesday night and winger Ahmed Elmohamady featured in Egypt's 1-0 defeat against Tunisia.
