Devitt aiming high

Jamie Devitt is eyeing a regular place in Hull's first team after making his senior debut for the club last weekend. Devitt, who enjoyed loan spells with Darlington, Shrewsbury and Grimsby last term, came on as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 opening day victory over Swansea. And the midfielder told Hull's official website: "After coming through the youth team here, setting foot on the pitch was a big thing for me and I'm thankful for the chance. Hopefully I did well enough to be in the squad again at the weekend. "I want to show that I can be involved in the team week in, week out and that I can play at this level. When I get my chance I've got to take it. "Going out on loan last season gave me the confidence that I could play league games and I want to play as many games as possible this year."
