Dawson defends Brown

Hull City's long-serving defender Andy Dawson has hit back at critics of his boss Phil Brown. The ex-Derby manager guided Hull into the Premier League in 2008 and secured their status in the top division on the final day of last season. However after a poor run of form at the start of the new campaign, Brown's position at the helm has been called into question, something that Dawson feels is unjust, "I think the criticism is very harsh. What the manager has done at this club over the last two and a half years has been fantastic," said Dawson. "We stayed up last season and if you take the last couple of weeks out of it, none of the talk has been there."
