Danny East enjoying Northampton loan but sees his future at Hull

Danny East admits he is enjoying his loan spell with Northampton but the Hull defender is determined to make sure his stay at Sixfields is only temporary.

The 20-year-old defender has been with the Tigers since the age of 12 and wants to use his time on loan in League Two to break into Steve Bruce's plans.

"I'm loving it and, to be fair, you can't buy that experience," East told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I'm learning all the time and you can't get that from playing reserve-team football.

"At first you feel a bit naive but with the constant run of games - we're playing Tuesday and Saturday every week - I feel as though I'm improving all the time.

"Hull City are still my parent club and I am a Hull lad. I ultimately want to play for Hull City and that will always stay the same.

"I'd love to think my long-term future was still with Hull. I know it'll be hard but I'll keep pushing and trying to make sure I can impress the manager."
