Skysports.com understands Hull City striker Daniel Cousin would welcome a move to Newcastle. A loan move to Newcastle has been mooted with Tigers boss Phil Brown claiming the Championship leaders have made an enquiry for the former Rangers hit-man. The Gabon international has slipped down the pecking order at the KC Stadium this season following a number of summer arrivals. Brown is thought to be open to the idea of loaning out Cousin and the player is believed to be interested in a switch to Newcastle. Newcastle are in the market for striking reinforcements and bringing in Cousin could help boost their chances of winning promotion back to the Premier League. Cousin's agent, Willie McKay admits his client would be interested in a move to Newcastle, but is unsure of what Hull want to do with the player. "We do not know what is going on with Daniel's position at Hull at the moment," McKay told skysports.com. "We have heard Newcastle could be interested in signing Daniel on loan and that is something he would seriously consider. "He would be interested in a move to Newcastle as they are a massive club and if he is not getting regular first-team football at Hull he might have to move to get that."
