Clean sheet was positive - Dawson

Hull defender Andy Dawson was able to take positives from the draw with Portsmouth despite the lack of goalmouth action at the KC Stadium.

Neither team could muster a chance of note during a forgettable contest between two teams struggling at the foot of the Barclays Premier League.

But Dawson insists it was not all doom and gloom for the Tigers at least.

"It was another point and another clean sheet," he told the club's official website.

"Obviously I can't say that it was a thrilling game. It was two teams at the bottom of the table that couldn't afford to lose and that probably showed.

"All I can say is that we got a clean sheet and that is something to build from going into the next game."
