Clarets swoop for Tigers man Marney
urnley have signed Hull midfielder Dean Marney for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £500,000.[LNB] Marney, 26, has become Brian Laws' first new signing of the summer after agreeing a three-year deal at Turf Moor.[LNB]Laws said: "It is a good way to start and I am delighted we have got Dean. Midfield is an area we wanted to strengthen and for a young age he has a lot of experience."[LNB]Marney has ended a four-year stay with Hull after a move to East Yorkshire from Tottenham back in 2006.[LNB]Laws added: "Dean has played for two years in the Premier League so he knows what is required.[LNB]"He is a box-to-box player, full of energy, and his link play with the midfield and forwards is exceptional.[LNB]"His pedigree, coming from Tottenham, shows that he can play and he will be a great addition to the squad."
