City struggle with transfers

What is it about Hull City that doesn't attract other players? Once again we are approaching a new season and the signing of new players  is once again anything but structured. So far we have only seen Manchester United rookies Joe Dudgeon and Corry Evans commit to a future with the Tigers wheras all other deals and interest talks seemed to have stalled.  Dele Adebola and Paul McKenna from Forrest are looking likely on a free from Nottingham forrest and  Leicester City defender Jack Hobbs has also agreed in principle but is it another case of panic signing? I'm not saying the three new additions won't play their part but what is it about Hull City that isn't as appealing as other clubs so that we have players knocking on the KC Stadium door instead of us settling for third and fourth options as the clock counts down into the final stages of the transfer market? Is it the name "Hull City"? Is it Where we are geographicaly? Is it the Manager? I'm hoping for better things this season, and the main change I want is a better start than last season but this time round N Pearson hasn't got the mess he was left with at the beginning of last season.....He also has got no more excuses.
