Hull City open the new Premier League season with a difficult trip to Stamford Bridge on 15th August. The Tigers, who narrowly avoided the drop on the last day of the season, will be new Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti's first opponents on the opening day of the season. The first visitors to the KC Stadium on 18th August are Spurs while Phil Brown travels to his former club Bolton Wanderers three days later. The weekend after, newly-promoted Wolves make the trip to East Yorkshire. Games against Sunderland, Birmingham and Liverpool follow in September in a month puncuated by World Cup qualifiers while trips to Fulham and Burnley along with home games against Wigan and Portsmouth are scheduled for October. A festive treat beckons for Tigers fans on Boxing Day when City entertain champions Manchester United. They make the journey to Old Trafford a month later. Following last season's final day visit of Sir Alex Ferguson's men, City face another stern test on the last Sunday of the campaign this time around when Liverpool visit the KC Stadium.
