After all that has befallen Cardiff City in recent months, it came as no surprise that Dave Jones celebrated his side's fourth Championship victory this season with cautionary optimism.[LNB]Still, despite his now customary platitudes, there is little doubt that privately, Jones is blissfully happy with his lot. After all, 11 goals and 13 points in five games support the widespread belief that after 48 years of waiting, the Bluebirds are ready to book their seat at the top table.[LNB] Related ArticlesChampionship tableTelegraph player raterChampionship fixturesPortsmouth 0 Cardiff City 2Cardiff City sign Andy Keogh from Wolves on loanSport on television'There is little chance of us getting carried away,' said Jones, who had to shuffle his pack on Saturday after the late withdrawal of strike trio Craig Bellamy, Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra.[LNB]In the absence of the club's Holy Trinity of strikers, Seyi Olofinjana, who is on a season-long loan from the KC Stadium, and substitute Gavin Rae extended Cardiff's unbeaten start to the season with a goal apiece, either side of half-time.[LNB]Jones added: 'Yes, the culture at the football club is changing and we are happy with the manner in which we are playing and winning.
