Bullard told to fight for his place
Hull City's head of football operations Adam Pearson has said that Jimmy Bullard will have to fight for his first-team place.[LNB] The 31-year-old looked to be on his way out of the Tigers after being made available to move this summer, with the club desperate to offload the player due to his £45,000-a-week wages.[LNB]However, despite interest from Celtic, a loan move failed to materialise, leaving Bullard still on the club's books and unable to leave until January unless a fellow Championship club move for him.[LNB]The former Wigan midfielder has suffered with serious injuries since moving to the KC Stadium, and Pearson admitted that the player had 'a lot to prove' before winning his place back.[LNB]"Jimmy comes back into the plans but we'll have to see how it goes," he told the Hull Daily Mail.[LNB]"If he trains well and shows up well, I'm sure he will get his chance.[LNB]"His performances at the end of last season were mixed and he's got a lot to prove to show he deserves a place in the side.[LNB]"Jimmy wanted to play Premier League football and we wanted to reduce our wage bill.[LNB]"It would have been in everyone's interests, but we haven't had one Premier League team come in for him.[LNB]"That leaves Jimmy as a Hull City player and he will be treated like any other member of the squad."
