Bullard out for up to eight weeks

Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard will be sidelined for six to eight weeks with a knee injury.Bullard, 31, was hurt when he landed awkwardly after a tackle in Saturday's loss to Aston Villa and had a scan on his left knee on Monday evening. [LNB]He missed nine months of this year with an injury to his other knee and only returned to action in October. [LNB]He was voted the Premier League player of the month for November but limped off after just 19 minutes on Saturday. [LNB]Following the match, Hull assistant boss Brian Horton said Bullard had been playing "brilliantly" since his return from his long-term lay-off.[LNB] How important is Bullard to Hull City? "He has been such an influence and just fell awkwardly," added Horton. [LNB]Bullard was a record £5m signing from Fulham in January but damaged his knee ligaments 37 minutes into his debut, against West Ham, before undergoing surgery in the United States.
