Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard is optimistic he will be able to return to action from his latest knee injury in October.
Bullard has made just one substitute's appearance for the Tigers since his club record arrival from Fulham in the January transfer window.
He suffered cruciate ligament damage and was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, while there had been fears he could be sidelined until Christmas.
However, the 30-year-old is making positive progress in his recovery and is targeting a first-team comeback for the Tigers in the autumn.
"I don't think I'm going to be a million miles away at the start of October," Bullard told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Hopefully, so long as things keep going well it'll be around that date.
"We'll have to wait and see, but I'm looking at October to come back and hit the ground running.
"Hopefully I'll be back stronger than ever and I've got my whole career ahead of me in a Hull City shirt."
