Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard insists his current knee problem is not a reoccurrence of an old injury.[LNB] Speculation has suggested that an issue which kept Bullard sidelined for 16 months during his days at Fulham has resurfaced.[LNB]The Tigers' record signing has barely featured for the club since making a £5million move from Craven Cottage, with his knee giving way after just 37 minutes of his debut against West Ham.[LNB]Unsurprisingly, given the similarities between the two problems, Bullard has since been forced to fend off reports suggesting he has suffered the same damage which befell him in the capital.[LNB]CruciateA trip to see renowned specialist Richard Stearman, the man who set him on the road to recovery first time around, only served to fuel the rumours, but Bullard maintains that the two issues are completely different.[LNB]"Unless you're a surgeon you can't tell," he told CITY magazine.[LNB]"Just because it's a cruciate injury it doesn't have to be the same as one you've had before and the knee is a lot more complicated than that.[LNB]"It isn't just one ligament you're talking about, there are four main ones in there that are holding it all together. It was never the case that is was like my previous injury - in fact it was nothing like it all.[LNB]"Richard has told me that the knee will be as strong as ever now with the replacement ligament in there and I just can't wait to get back to playing football."[LNB]
