Jimmy Bullard has admitted that he is 'embarrassed' to have sustained his knee injury within 40 minutes of his Hull City career. Speaking for the first time since he was injured on his debut against West Ham, Bullard said: 'I was embarrassed to tell you the truth. But, no matter what anybody out there thinks, I had proved to myself that the knee was solid after the previous injury (at Fulham).' He confessed that if his current injury is as serious as the one sustained at Fulham then he would 'have to go away somewhere and forget about football'. But he added: 'I'm off  the crutches now which is  a big step for me.' George Boateng is on course for a surprise return to the side in time to face his former club Middlesbrough on April 11 in what is set to be a crucial relegation battle. Meanwhile, charman Paul Duffen has claimed that the inquiry into allegations of Cesc Fabregas spitting will prove that manager Phil Brown told the truth about the incident.
