Brown waiting on Premier League return

Former Hull City boss Phil Brown has confirmed he has rejected one opportunity to return to football management this summer.[LNB] Brown was placed on gardening leave by the Tigers in March, although it was not until the club finalised compensation over the remainder of his contract that he was able to find a new post.[LNB]The 51-year-old is in no rush to find his next project and insists it is important to him that he finds a club with a chairman that matches his lofty ambitions.[LNB]Brown is keen to manage at Premier League level and, while he would not confirm the name of the club wanting his services, he has hinted they were not in the top flight.[LNB]"There's a lot of good men out of work and there are a lot of good men waiting to get back in there and I'm one of them," he told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"Unfortunately that's the way it is, football. You get relieved of your duties and then you're looking around for the next job.[LNB]"Sometimes it's crazy because managers and players are under pressure a few games into the new season. With 51 managers going last season it's a scandalous situation we find ourselves in. That's the nature of the beast.[LNB]"I've had a couple of good offers and one that I've respectively turned down. I think for what we did at Hull for the last two or three years I'm bound to get those kinds of offers.[LNB]"However, I feel as if there's a position out there with a chairman that's as ambitious as I am. I want to get back to the Premier League at some stage and hopefully someone will match that."
