Brown unsure on conclusion

Hull City manager Phil Brown cannot set a date for a conclusion to the Cesc Fabregas spitting row. The Gunners skipper was accused of spitting at Tigers assistant boss Brian Horton in the aftermath of Hull's 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final at Emirates Stadium in March. Hull have submitted their version of events to the Football Association, with Brown, Horton, fitness conditioner Sean Rush and some members of the first-team squad providing statements. The FA is investigating the incident, but Brown is unable to put a timescale on a possible end to the inquiry. When asked how long the process could take, Brown told Sky Sports News: "It is not for me to say. Where the FA is concerned, it has got to leave no stone unturned, and rightly so. "As far as we're concerned, it is an incident that has happened. The game is on the wave behind, the incident is on the wave behind, and the inquiry is ongoing. And that is just the state of play." He added: "The statements have been made by myself, Brian Horton, Sean Rush and one or two of the players. "Obviously, those statements will be formulated and a case will be put forward with regards to what happened that night."
