[LNB]The Tigers boss admitted that his side simply could not cope with the attacking threat of Defoe and Robbie Keane, but was disappointed his side crumpled so easily under the pressure.[LNB]"The front two were outstanding tonight. Harry's got a front two but he's also got (Roman) Pavlyuchenko and (Peter) Crouch on the bench," Brown said after the match.[LNB]"He looks like he's going to have a good season and we wish him well but tonight was certainly a poor performance from our point of view."[LNB]QualityBrown admitted that there was a significant gulf in quality between the two sides, believing it was one of the best performances he's ever seen in England's top-flight.[LNB]He also criticised his own players for not taking on the challenge properly and said that they lacked the application to salvage something from the game.[LNB]"From a neutral's point of view you have probably seen a team in the top four this season, no doubt," he added.[LNB]"We didn't apply ourselves from minute one or get close enough to Tottenham to keep ourselves in the game.[LNB]"I thought there was a gulf between the two teams in terms of class, quality and the performance.[LNB]"Every player on the field of play for Tottenham was outstanding. That's one of the best performances I have seen in the Premier League."[LNB]The 50-year-old has now all but ruled out bringing Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo to the KC Stadium but stated he still wants to make moves in the transfer market before the end of the window.[LNB]
