Brown revelling in spotlight

Hull City manager Phil Brown insists he does not want to return to the 'quiet life' of the Championship. Last season's play-off winners are fighting to avoid an immediate return to the second tier as they battle against Premier League relegation. The Tigers slipped into the top-flight danger zone on Monday as a result of Newcastle's victory over fellow strugglers Middlesbrough. But Brown is desperate to avoid the drop because he claims he is revelling in the spotlight pressure of the Premier League. "Do I beat myself up about it? There seems to be enough people out there ready to do that for me" he told the Hull Daily Mail. "It affects you but that's part and parcel of being a football manager, it's part and parcel of my life in the game I'm in. "At times you want it all to go away but this is the Premier League, you will always be under scrutiny. "There's nowhere else I want to be, I certainly wouldn't want the quiet life in the Championship. "I still have confidence in my team and I'm very confident we'll still be in the Premier League next season. "It's still very exciting, I'm very bullish about the chance we've got to stay in the Premier League. "Of course it's been a test in the last couple of weeks, it's been a difficult time for us all. "We are still in with a great chance of being a Premier League club next year and we have to do everything we can to take it."
