Brown praises captain Turner

Hull boss Phil brown was quick to praise captain Michael Turner in the aftermath of his side's 1-1 draw with Wolves. However, it remains to be seen whether Turner will stay at the club or if he will move elsewhere before the transfer window closes on Tuesday. Hull picked up a point at Molineux after Geovanni had given them an early lead with a header from a Stephen Hunt cross. Wolves replied straight after the half-time break as defender Richard Stearman found the roof of the net from close range. But Turner was the hero as he blocked a shot from Kevin Doyle in the dying minutes that was certain to hit the back of the net. "It was outstanding," the Hull manager told Sky Sports. "That's what Michael gives you, he's a top draw defender and we're trying desperately to hang on to the lad. "As I say there's a lot of talking to be done between now and Tuesday, and the way I've talked to the chairman and the way my chairman's talked to me is that we're going to try and hang onto him, but money talks in this game." Wolves strikers Kevin Doyle and Andy Keogh caused the Hull defence problems throughout the whole game and Brown praised their effort. "The front two of Wolves can cause you problems, they're tireless in their work rate and they've got endeavour and desire to get in behind and stretch you, they can both play. "I feel like we've lost the game to tell you the truth, and no disrespect to Wolves they gave it a right go, but the timing of the equaliser was poor from our point of view, and it was a poor goal. "One straight ball down the middle, we didn't deal with the first one and we didn't deal with the second one - consequently we find ourselves at 1-1." Brown admitted that a number of clubs were interested in Turner, but also said that Hull were still looking to strengthen their squad. He said: "We haven't finished, hopefully we're talking to another striker tomorrow and there might be a bit of action before Tuesday."
