Brown - No risks with Bullard

Phil Brown says it would have been 'too risky' to play Jimmy Bullard in Hull City's 0-0 draw at Chelsea.[LNB] Bullard is currently awaiting the verdict of Dr Richard Steadman following scans on a knee injury suffered on his Tigers debut against West Ham United.[LNB]The midfielder jarred his knee on his first appearance since his £5million move last month, although the problem is not connected to the injury which sidelined him for 15 months at previous club Fulham.[LNB]He was under consideration to be involved in Saturday's game at Stamford Bridge, but Brown opted against gambling on the player's fitness.[LNB]However, Bullard has travelled with the rest of the squad to Dubai for a training camp and could be available for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Sheffield United.[LNB]"Jimmy was a 50/50 chance, but it was too risky," said Brown in the Hull Daily Mail. [LNB]"Jimmy would have enjoyed that game of football, but he's okay."[LNB]
