Brown learns vital lessons

Hull City boss Phil Brown has revealed that he has learnt valuable lessons from the alleged spitting incident that followed his side's 2-1 defeat at Arsenal in the FA Cup.[LNB] With a place in the last four of the competition up for grabs tensions were already running high before Gunners defender William Gallas scored the winner from an off-side position in the latter stages of the clash.[LNB]Injured skipper Cesc Fabregas ran on to the pitch to celebrate with his team-mates and was accused by Brown and his assistant Brian Horton of spitting at his number two's feet.[LNB]The Spaniard has since denied the charge but Brown has confirmed that the FA are looking into the matter.[LNB]The former Bolton assistant manager did however state that he has learnt lessons from the incident.[LNB]"It's a leaning curve for me as a young manager at this level," he told Sky Sports News. [LNB]Emotions"The emotions of the game were still running through the veins of my body for the next 24 hours, that's for me and Brian Horton and the players.[LNB]"To do any kind of interview straight after the game I will probably have to look at that.[LNB]"But we will just dust ourselves down and get on with it. We seem to have been getting up peoples noses and I will be hoping to do that against Wigan."[LNB]Brown went on to dismiss claims that he had lodged an official complaint and denied that he would be hauled in front of an FA panel to give his side of the story in the near future. [LNB]"I think where the FA are concerned they can format an enquiry from a newspaper report and then all they do is follow it up," he added.[LNB]"I can't understand why (he would be called to give his side of events). I have never levelled the word cheat at anybody.[LNB]"I have never levelled anything at anybody on Tuesday night that I didn't actually see. If people can't handle the truth then that's their problem and as far as I'm concerned I came out with the truth."[LNB]The Tigers boss insisted that the incident was now behind him and he was solely concentrating on the vital game at Wigan on Sunday.[LNB]Encounter"Yes very much so, that's what football managers are like," he continued.[LNB]"You quickly put things behind you and address the next one coming at you and the next one is a massive league encounter with Wigan Athletic and that's our focus."[LNB]Brown also highlighted that he didn't have a problem with any manager in the Premier League, least of all Arsene Wenger.[LNB]"I have no problem with any manager. You lock horns for 90 minutes twice a season perhaps three or four if you draw each other in the cup so I will shake hands with any manager," he confirmed. [LNB]"It's in the hands of an FA enquiry and it will remain that way. We know what went on we are pleased that there is an inquiry put it that way. [LNB]"There is an inquiry and we will leave it at that."[LNB]
