Brown - Inquiry is ongoing

The Football Association's inquiry into the altercation between Hull City assistant boss Brian Horton and Cesc Fabregras remains an ongoing concern according to Phil Brown.[LNB] It has been alleged Arsenal captain Fabregas spat at Horton in the aftermath of the Tigers' FA Cup defeat at Emirates Stadium earlier in the month.[LNB]Hull boss Brown was incensed at the final whistle and was quick to condemn the behaviour of Fabregas, who missed the cup tie through injury but entered the pitch at the end of the game.[LNB]The FA was hoping to have gathered evidence by now but have decided to extend their inquiry, as a number of the players they would have liked to have spoken to are away on international duty.[LNB]"It's settled down as they do with time but there is an ongoing inquiry," Brown told Sky Sports News. [LNB]"There was a deadline I think for today of which the chairman has got an extension because of the international break and the amount of international players we have away.[LNB]"There's an awful lot of players involved, or down the tunnel, when whatever went on.[LNB]"Again it would be remiss of me to say outside of the inquiry what happened but they are pursuing the matter and hopefully the truth will come out."[LNB]
