Brown in the dark over Turner future
Phil Brown admitted he is uncertain whether skipper and defender Michael Turner will still be a Hull player when the transfer window closes.[LNB] Turner is being strongly linked with a move to Sunderland and Brown conceded he may have to listen to offers after admitting the "game has gone crazy" in terms of the high fees being paid for defenders. The centre-back played a crucial role in earning the Tigers a 1-1 draw with Wolves at Molineux after blocking a late effort from Kevin Doyle on the line.[LNB] "Everyone seems to be wanting to talk about Michael Turner," Brown said. "Let's talk about him. He had an outstanding game. He has been tested by the two boys up front (Doyle and Andy Keogh) and stood up to the test. Is that his last game? I don't know."[LNB] Brown added: "It might be. It might not be. When people start talking silly money, sometimes you have to listen. We are in the year of the silly money, the silly bids. The world has gone crazy, paying £25million for centre-halves, so maybe you have to listen.[LNB] "As far as we are concerned, it is not only Sunderland. There are two or three clubs interested.[LNB] "The battle to hold on to Michael Turner will be ever-increasing for the next 48 hours. Whether Michael Turner is a Hull player at the end of the international break, remains to be seen. We have turned down bids already, in the last six weeks."[LNB] Wolves boss Mick McCarthy felt his side had enough chances to have claimed a second win of the campaign.[LNB] He said: "To me, it is two points lost. We were rocked on our heels for about 10 minutes after they scored but then we were the dominant team. [LNB] "We had the chances and that clearance on the line from Turner stopped them from going behind. He is a good player.[LNB] "In the second half we were terrific. We should have killed the game off and Hull will view it as a good point."
