Brown hopeful of more signings

Hull City manager Phil Brown is hoping to make two or three more signings before the start of the Premier League season after making a double swoop. The Tigers boss was busy in the transfer market on Thursday after landing Stoke's Seyi Olofinjana and Villarreal's American striker Jozy Altidore. Although the American marksman still requires a work permit before his loan deal can be completed Brown is confident he will eventually get his passport stamped. Hull tackle Chelsea in their Premier League opener on August 15 and Brown is hopeful of bringing a further two more faces to the KC Stadium before the big kick-off. "We've announced two today because we're confident it will be two," he told Sky Sports News. "Hopefully by the Chelsea game we'll have announced two more or three more or however many we feel it is necessary to bring in. "We want to strengthen. There's been a hell of a lot of work going on behind the scenes and these two today are testimony to it. "We must be slowing down because the last couple of years we've announced three in one day and now it's only two but as I say hopefully by the Chelsea game there will be another two or three players coming in."
