Brown eyes shock scalp

Hull City boss Phil Brown has challenged his players to put another dent in Liverpool's title tilt this weekend. The Reds saw two points slip through their grasp on Tuesday after being held to a thrilling 4-4 by Arsenal at Anfield. They now know that they cannot afford anymore setbacks between now and the end of the season if they are to wrestle the Premier League crown away from Manchester United. Their next challenge takes them to the KC Stadium on Saturday, where relegation-threatened Hull lie in wait. The Tigers will also be desperate for points as they look to secure top flight safety and Brown will have his side fired up for what promises to be a crunch contest. He told the Hull Daily Mail: "We're in a vein of form where we need to arrest the situation as soon as possible and what better time than at a packed KC Stadium against one of the best teams in the world. "We've had situations thrown at us in the last two years that would suggest Hull City versus Liverpool will be a one-sided affair. "But we have our own thoughts about that. I've always said if we bring our best to the table and we are as organised as we can be, we can give anyone a game at this level." AchievementHe added: "We're very, very close to being a Premier League team for a second year running and that would be a great achievement. "The number of points we will need from the last five games, nobody knows yet. "We're better off than four other managers and four other teams and as long as that remains that way, we'll be happy." Hull's hopes of beating the drop will rest on their ability to become more of a threat in front of goal. They have found the target just once in their last four games, but could welcome Gabonese frontman Daniel Cousin back into the fold this weekend. "He trained yesterday (Tuesday) and hopefully he will train all week to play his part in the most important five games of the season," added Brown. "Fingers crossed, he will be able to start against Liverpool if called upon."
