Brown denies six-pointer tag

Hull City manager Phil Brown has moved to play down the significance of his side's clash with bottom-half rivals Newcastle on Saturday.[LNB] With just four points separating the relegation-threatened clubs, a win for either side at the KC Stadium could provide a huge boost in the race for survival.[LNB]But as far as Brown is concerned, it will be business as usual when Newcastle come to town.[LNB]"It doesn't count for anything other than the next opportunity to get three points," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.[LNB]"It's another one-off game and just 90 minutes to us and we have our tails up having won our last game at Fulham."[LNB]'Twists and turns'Indeed, with only seven points separating 18th from eighth, even high-fliers such as Wigan and Fulham could yet be dragged into a relegation dogfight alongside the likes of Hull and Newcastle.[LNB]"Teams on 34 and 35 points are not out of trouble by any means and with 10 or 11 games left there are lots of twists and turns left in the season," Brown added.[LNB]"If we win tomorrow we go level with Manchester City who are eighth in the league.[LNB]"There are lots of sides still involved and to say at this stage of the season that survival will be reached with fewer than 40 points is ridiculous.[LNB]"It's fair to say every side outside the top seven are in a relegation scrap. There are no free games and you have to earn every point in this league."[LNB]
