Hull City boss Phil Brown was full of praise for his side after seeing them hold Chelsea to a goalless draw on Saturday.[LNB] The Tigers had begun to slip up of late and needed a positive result to help breathe new life into the club.[LNB]The Stamford Bridge stalemate did stretch their winless run to nine games, but back-to-back draws have helped to steady the ship.[LNB]Holding the title-chasing Blues also saw the club secure their first clean sheet in 15 Premier League outings, an achievement which pleased Brown greatly.[LNB]"More than anything that was the most delighting thing from the game," he told Sky Sports.[LNB]"The mentality and the work rate were there for everybody to see, but the most important thing was getting men in front of the goal. When there were shots coming in we were putting bodies on the line. [LNB]"We were lucky at times - the John Terry chance in the first minute - and if you go a goal behind then it could be a long day at the office. [LNB]"We rode our luck and then slowly but surely gained confidence from the way we were playing and we could have gone on to win it."[LNB]EcstaticBrown admits Chelsea were not at their best against his plucky outfit but insists plenty of positives can be taken from another productive trip to the capital.[LNB]"Every time you come to Chelsea you have to hope that one or two of their top players are not firing on all cylinders," he said.[LNB]"We knew there was an opportunity here today. They have dropped 12 to 14 points at home and we knew the crowd could get frustrated early on. [LNB]"We had to keep them quiet, which we did, and then in the first 15 minutes of the second half the game was starting to swing our way in terms of counter attacking chances. [LNB]"We could have pinched it but I'm ecstatic with a clean sheet."[LNB]
