Boateng ready for United test

George Boateng knows Hull City will have to be on their guard against Manchester United - even if the Red Devils' kitman takes the field on Sunday. The Tigers go into their final day showdown with the newly-crowned Premier League champions needing all three points to be sure of beating the drop. With the title already secure, there have been suggestions that Sir Alex Ferguson will rest many of his key men with the UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona to follow on 27th May. Midfielder Boateng insists Hull must stay focused on taking all three points and admits United's strength in depth will make them very tough opponents. Great teamThe Dutchman said: "I wouldn't expect Manchester to do us any favours. "I know three days later they have a massive Champions League final, I hope their kitman will get a mention on their teamsheet - but he might be a very good player. "They won't want to risk any players getting injured but they have a duty. Other teams will complain if they don't field a strong team. "But it is about us. We have to keep one eye on other results but whatever team Manchester United put out it will be a great team." Hull's 1-1 draw at Bolton gave them a one-point advantage over Newcastle after the Magpies suffered a 1-0 home defeat by Fulham on Saturday. Alan Shearer's side travel to Aston Villa on the final day of the season and former Middlesbrough midfielder Boateng does not expect them to pick up three points in the Midlands. BeliefHe added: "I am confident if we can get a point - I don't see Newcastle winning at Villa Park. "Aston Villa will want to finish their season on a high and I would expect them to do their duty. "Before the game (against Bolton) people were very negative about Hull, we were already condemned. But I said to the lads we were condemned before the season kicked off. "I think the way we have played through the whole season, we deserve to be in the Premier League. "The belief in the team is back. With hard work we have realised we can still play good football."
