Boateng plays down bust up

George Boateng has played down the on-field bust up between Geovanni and Daniel Cousin in Hull City's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa. Tensions were running high at Villa Park on Monday with The Tigers, who entered the match on a run of just one league win from 18, trailing 1-0 at half-time thanks to John Carew's finish. Cousin was unhappy with Geovanni for opting to shoot rather than crossing the ball and let him know his feelings as the teams left the field at half time. However, Boateng has played down the incident, saying there are differing opinions all the time in clubs and that the pair have already made up. "If you trained with us every day for the whole season, you would see a lot of incidents because that is what we do!" said Boateng. "That's football and in the position we're in, it just shows that they care. "The row was basically because Geovanni chose to have shot from 20 yards, whereas Daniel felt he could have crossed it. "But in the dressing room they kissed and made up, which is good."
