Benjani move breaks down

Benjani's proposed move from Manchester City to Hull City has broken down, Sky Sports News understands. The two clubs had agreed a fee for the striker, but the transfer has reportedly been called off due to the 31-year-old's personal terms. Hull have spent the summer searching for a striker and have failed to agree deals for Bobby Zamora and Fraizer Campbell, while Michael Owen was also a target. Benjani is surplus to requirements at Eastlands after the arrivals of Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor, and looked set to move to the KC Stadium. However, he appears ready to return to Manchester ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline as Hull look to have missed out on another attacker.
