Barmby salutes Tigers duo
Hull hero Nick Barmby has hailed the efforts of team-mates Michael Turner and Geovanni during the club's debut top-flight campaign.
Defender Turner was the only ever-present as the Tigers defied pre-season predications to survive in the Barclays Premier League.
Brazilian star Geovanni, who joined on a free transfer from Manchester City, finished as top goalscorer with eight and was instrumental in the club's fine start to the season.
Veteran midfielder Barmby said: "It was always going to be difficult, when you look at the budgets other clubs have got.
"For what we have done, bringing in players on frees - getting Geovanni on a free was a great bit of business.
"I must say Michael Turner has been unbelievable. He's risen to the occasion and we've got a diamond in Michael Turner."
