Injured Hull captain Ian Ashbee believes he can return a stronger player from his current injury lay-off.[LNB]The 33-year-old midfielder is expected to be out for most of the season after undergoing major knee surgery last month.[LNB]Ashbee is no stranger to such frustration having missed the majority of the 2005-06 season due to a career-threatening bone condition.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I`m progressing alright. Any time you are injured it`s not good to be sitting and watching the boys. I want to try to help win games of football.[LNB]"But I`ve been here before, other people have been here before.[LNB]"Jimmy (Bullard) is just getting back and saying he is stronger than he has ever felt. I`ve got to be positive about it."
