The midfielder had been charged with two counts of improper conduct, relating both to his appearance on the pitch after the match and allegations that he had spat at Hull assistant manager Brian Horton. Fabregas had always strenuously denied those claims. The 22-year-old said following the incident: 'I absolutely and categorically deny that I spat at anyone and I cannot understand why Hull are making these accusations against me. 'If they suspend me for that [spitting] then I'm ... my mind and my heart will be relaxed because I have not done anything wrong." And the FA have found that the charges were not proved. A statement said: "The FA can confirm that, at a Regulatory Commission hearing, two charges of improper conduct against Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas were found not proved. "The charges related to Fabregas's conduct following the FA Cup match between Arsenal and Hull at the Emirates Stadium on 17 March. One charge concerned his conduct after coming onto the pitch following the final whistle. The second charge related to an allegation of spitting." Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was always confident that Fabregas would be cleared, although he has said that he will tell his squad not to come onto the pitch after matches in future if they are not playing. Fabregas was recovering from a knee injury at the time of the game. Hull manager Phil Brown was charged with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute in relation to media comments made after the game concerning referee Mike Riley, but the FA have not yet made an announcement relating to that charge.
