Hull City's latest signing Jozy Altidore is relishing the challenge of showcasing his talents in the Premier League. The 19-year-old American marksman has finalised a year-loan loan from Spanish outfit Villarreal and joins Seyi Olofinjana in signing for The Tigers. The teenager is just awaiting a work permit before the deal can be rubber-stamped, but that has not stopped him from getting excited over the switch. Although Altidore was far from a regular during his time in Spain he believes his style of play is more suited to England's top flight and he is eager to make his mark. "It's going to be a great experience for me," he told Sky Sports News. "I'm very excited at the opportunity to play for a good up-and-coming club in one of the best leagues in the world. "A lot of people tell me you see it and you think you can jump right in it, but it takes a little bit of getting used to. That's probably the biggest challenge for me, trying to get acclimatised as soon as possible with my team-mates and the Premier League as a whole, as there's not a lot of time until the first match. Although Altidore made only a handful of starts in Spain, he insists his time there was still valuable: "I learned a lot there, as a player. I grew a lot as a player. Now it's just a matter of getting games. "I think here it suits me a little bit better in terms of culture and style of play. But at the same time it's going to be just as difficult, if not more difficult. The games are a little bit quicker and the defenders a little stronger, but at the same time it's going to make you a better player and I'm ready for the challenge."
