Altidore: I`ve come here to improve
Jozy Altidore believes his move to Hull will help him improve as a player.
The 19-year-old United States striker joined the Tigers last week on a season-long from Spanish club Villarreal.
Altidore is on international duty with the US squad this week but, having received his work permit, should be in contention for a debut in Saturday's Premier League opener at Chelsea.
Altidore said: "To get experience of the Premier League this season is going to be invaluable, to play against the big clubs and the defenders they have here is going to make me a better player.
"Hopefully I can help this club as well, so all in all it is a win-win for everyone.
"Villarreal, myself, agents, family and Hull all felt this was a place I could play to become a better player.
"For me it was a no-brainer to play at a good club like Hull. It was an easy decision."
