Williams eyes Town debut
16 Nov 2007 - 13:35:11
Huddersfield Town left-back Robbie Williams is confident he will be able to make his first-team debut for the club later this month.
The 23-year-old was signed by the Terriers from Barnsley in the summer, but broke his leg in pre-season and has only just returned to action for the reserves.
"It's been a frustrating four months, so it was great to get on the pitch and, while I was blowing a bit at times, I felt all right," Williams told the Huddersfield Examiner.
"Now, I'm just looking forward to getting a few games under my belt, pushing for the first team and helping the lads, because I think we're a team that's going places.
"We'll have to see how things go, but if all is well then I might be ready for the Leyton Orient match at home next weekend, which would be brilliant.
"I'm feeling good, so there are no worries and I've settled in well here. The lads are great and the gaffer is a really good manager - that's why I had no hesitation in signing for him."
