We answered critics - Clark
Published : 24 Nov 2010 12:30:41

Defiant Huddersfield boss Lee Clark felt his side had answered their critics with an emphatic 4-1 victory over MK Dons.Chairman Dean Hoyle slammed the team in Saturday's match programme prior to a dismal defeat by Exeter, but they responded in style with goals from Antony Kay, Gary Roberts and a fine brace from Jordan Rhodes. The Dons pulled one back through Aaron Wilbraham.Clark said: "We'd been second in the table but then two defeats left the club feeling like a bomb had hit it on Sunday morning."And look what a win now has done. We're three points off being back in the automatic promotion places. What we've got to do is hang in there for a few more months and be ready for the kill at the business end of the season."I've got high standards and I take every defeat personally because the team is a reflection of the manager's personality and his ideas."If I believe the players are falling short of what is required they will hear it from me first. But to be honest I thought the only difference between here and Saturday was our players gambled to get on the end of crosses and were prepared to have a dig at goal."
