Unsworth turns to coaching

David Unsworth has announced his retirement from professional football following his release by Huddersfield Town.

The 35-year-old former Everton defender left the Terriers last week after making just five appearances all season.

Unsworth has now set his sights on a career in coaching.

"I have a burning aspiration to coach and to manage," he revealed.

"I've done most of the coaching courses and I have one more to do at the end of May, so that'll be me fully qualified.

"Hopefully in the summer months I'll get an opportunity somewhere in the game."
