New Huddersfield Town manager Stan Ternent has wasted little time in making his mark on the squad after releasing nine out of contract players.
Ternent, who was named as the replacement for former boss Andy Ritchie last month, has told first-team regulars Chris Brandon and Frank Sinclair plus a host of other players that they have no future with the Terriers.
Danny Schofield, Matthew Young, Aaron Hardy, Danny Racchi, Lucas Akins, Mitchell Bailey and Luke Malcher will also leave the Galpharm Stadium.
Meanwhile, Joe Skarz, James Berrett and Matthew Glennon have all been offered fresh terms.
Speaking last week, Ternent said: "We've been negotiating some contracts and figuring out the retained list while at the same time getting to know everyone.
"We need to get a good, strong squad together and I'll be busy doing deals over the summer."
