Town set for defensive shuffle

Clarke will sit out a one-game ban after receiving two yellow cards in the defeat at Colchester on Saturday, but manager Lee Clark has several other options. Andy Butler could step in alongside Nathan Clarke, Antony Kay could be switched from midfield to central defence, or youngsters Spencer Harris or Leigh Franks could feature. Manager Clark could also be tempted to hand run outs to several of his fringe players, with striker Lee Novak, young pair Aiden Chippendale and Lewis Nightingale, defender Robbie Williams and winger Lionel Ainsworth all hoping to feature. Town, chasing their first win in six matches, beat Rotherham 2-1 at the Don Valley Stadium in the first round. Kick-off at Saltergate is at 7.30pm.
