Huddersfield Town are waiting anxiously on the results of a scan on Nathan Clarke's latest knee injury.

The 23-year-old made his comeback from two months out of action in the 3-1 win at home to Gillingham, but was forced off 18 minutes from time, with Terriers physio Lee Martin fearing another major setback.

He told the club's official website: "Unfortunately for Nathan, the problem is with the same knee that saw him miss ten weeks.

"It would appear that he has damaged his meniscus on the inside of his knee and he may have some capsular damage. I am 99 per cent sure that there is no ligament damage.

"It looks to be a very similar injury to the one that kept him out. We are not going to be able to put a timescale on his lay-off until after the scan."
