Town extend Eccleston loan

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark is pleased to have extended the loan stay of Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old marked his Terriers bow with the winning goal in the 1-0 victory at Yeovil Town and Clark is confident that there is more to come.

He told the Daily Examiner: "The idea was always to keep Nathan through to May.

"But the documentation takes extra time and we wanted to ensure he was available for Yeovil, so the original deal was for a month.

"Considering Nathan had only a couple of sessions with the squad before Saturday's game, I thought he bedded in really well.

"But there's still a lot more to come from him."
