Town chief gives striker warning
Rhodes was signed from Ipswich for an undisclosed fee in the summer and the 19-year-old has fired 11 goals in 14 matches this season, including his quickfire hat-trick - all headers - against Exeter on Saturday. Clibbens told the club's official website: "Anyone who has studied Town in the new era will quickly understand we're not your usual League One club - we're different and have a different approach. "Led by chairman Dean Hoyle we're focused on the long term - recruiting and developing talented young players and creating an environment that gives them the best chance of success." He added: "For many clubs, selling stars to raise cash in order to survive is a part of everyday life. This might be unusual in League One, but as a club we're now very fortunate to be in such a financially secure position that we no longer have to sell. We can and will look to the long term. "We look at things very commercially and having taken a business risk in investing in players, it's nonsense to compromise our plans to be successful by selling our best players when there's no footballing or financial reason to do so."
