Third op for Clarke

Huddersfield Town defender Nat Clarke will undergo a third operation inside 12 months to try and cure a persistent knee injury on Friday.

The 20-year-old initially sustained a knee injury at the end of last season and underwent surgery last summer.

Clarke returned to first team action in November against Cheltenham but hobbled out of his next game having injured his other knee.

The second injury required three months rehabilitation, but his attempted comeback lasted just one game before it became obvious that he would require further treatment.

The Terriers are confident that Clarke will be fit in time for the start of pre-season training.
